The Stiftung zur Förderung der Knochenmarktransplantation (Foundation for the Promotion of Bone Marrow Transplantation) provides support for patients and relatives; informs patients and the public about bone marrow transplantation; and thus also strives to increase the readiness of the public to donate bone marrow/stem cells.

We have a great number of patients - the majority diagnosed with Leukaemia or Multiple Myeloma - who need support. They and their loved ones wish to exchange experience, handling of side-effects, encouragement, feelings. The Foundation supports patients and is also directly involved in the recruiting of bone marrow donors for transplantation. The Foundation has built a network of SOS-Leukaemia- & Multiple Myeloma patient groups on behalf of patients and their partners, so far in seven regions of Switzerland, covering sixteen cantons of the country. We have to give new hope to patients - every day, every moment when they need us.
